Turkish Naval Research Center Command (TNRCC) was established in Gölcük-Kocaeli as a sub-unit of Turkish Naval Research, Project Development, and Scientific Decision Support Department. TNRCC continues its activities in Pendik-Istanbul since Aug.17th, 2001. To carry out practical research, to produce new technologies in mission critical fields and to create appropriate original systems in quality criteria in order to meet the future naval warfare systems requirements of the Turkish Naval Forces components. Turkish Naval Forces Research Center Command will carry out pioneering work for the national defense industry for developing new technologies in its specialized fields of interest, and by this means will develop cooperation and partnership culture with national and international R&D and industrial corporations in addition to the self-assigned sources. To uphold operations requirements of Turkish Naval Forces in naval combat systems technology in the following fields of interest; - Combat management systems,
- Fire control and target tracking systems,
- Underwater sensors and systems,
- Electronic warfare and electro-optics systems,
- Modeling and simulation,
- Communication and link systems
by performing practical research, technology demonstrations when necessary, appropriate systems analysis with regard to system engineering discipline, system development, test/integration with system prototype, acoustics, infrared, radar cross section signature management of navy components; management and development of acoustics and electronic warfare data bank; expert support in testing and naval experience of warfare weapons and tools concerning above water, underwater and flying components; technical management of R&D project preparation. |
