Turkish Naval Research Center Command (TNRCC) was established in Gölcük-Kocaeli as a sub-unit of Turkish Naval Research, Project Development, and Scientific Decision Support Department. TNRCC continues its activities in Pendik-Istanbul since Aug.17th, 2001. Since Aug.5th, 2010 TNRCC is a sub-unit of Turkish Naval Technical Department.

All TNRCC efforts are directed to reach the vision of providing (prototype) Naval Warfare Systems, that conform to international standards, by means of modern, effective technological solutions, that would bring the Turkish Naval Forces to the edge of the modern era.

In order to support operational needs of Turkish Navy in the area of naval combat systems technology, mission of TNRCC is;

• To provide technological demonstration
  
• To perform system integration on naval platforms,
  
• To manage and develop electronic and acoustic warfare data banks,
  
• To participate in test and sea trials of naval systems
  
• To participate in the technical prg. mng. of R&D projects and to provide technical support in expertise areas.
